Thyroid dysfunction during pregnancy is common, often underdiagnosed, and highly treatable, making timely recognition and appropriate management essential for both maternal and foetal health. The “Management of Hypothyroidism in Pregnancy” conference brought together doctors and healthcare professionals for an engaging, clinically focused discussion on the diagnosis and management of thyroid disorders during pregnancy. Held at Hotel Fortune, Ghaziabad, the conference focused on the practical clinical decisions involved in managing hypothyroidism in pregnancy, including whom to screen, interpretation of trimester-specific thyroid reference ranges, and when to initiate or adjust levothyroxine therapy.
The faculty discussed important areas including maternal and foetal outcomes, subclinical hypothyroidism, thyroid autoimmunity, treatment considerations, monitoring during pregnancy, and postpartum follow-up, with discussions informed by current national and international clinical guidance. The event was organized under the banner of Hypercube ASAP Foundation, in association with the Ghaziabad Obstetric and Gynecologist Society, with the aim of promoting evidence-based medical education and strengthening clinical knowledge in the management of thyroid disorders during pregnancy.
